No One Does It Better

First day of uni today and it was sort of crappy.
Last night I couldn’t fall asleep until after 2 and then it felt like as soon as I fell asleep I had to wake up again.
There were two vans instead of the usual bus this morning and not everyone could get on so we had to wait until more transport came.
Had a double lecture and the unit seems completely dull but it’s compulsory so what can I do
Had another double lecture and this one was actually really good, even though I was getting really sleepy at times
I tried calling the shuttle taxi but they don’t run anymore.
I realised I’m going to get home really late (8 or 9) on Tuesdays because I finish class at 5:30
I lost my wallet but it got handed in so that was good
I had to take a bus from Pakenham to Dandenong because of train problems and the bus was bad and there was a really moody guy on it who kept abusing the bus driver.

Anyway

I’m going to write about all the things I did in the remainder of my holiday

Before I start, I forgot to mention that when I went to watch Sherlock Holmes in the city, I saw Nick Bracks(aka Steve Bracks’ son aka the underwear model) having lunch on Chapel Road. It was totally weird but none of my friends knew who he was.

This is him if you don’t know

Back to the holidays

· Went to Chadstone with Jenny and Yen. We had Wagamama (because band guys eat there) and I thought the food was disappointing, it was completely bland. Not worth it for the price you pay. Then we watched Shame (I will upload a post about this on my movie blog).

I saw Matt from YMAS tweet this today and thought it was funny

Also thought this was awesome

· Had yum cha with Diem, Priyanka and Viola for Diem’s birthday then bummed at Parkmore for a bit

· Susan and Sharline came over and we attempted to make a croquembouche for Jenny but it went horribly wrong and the pastry part went flat and tasted like salty egg. Susan has all the photos so I can’t post it on here. Jenny and Nugget came later and we told them we made pikelets so they would try it. Ayontika also came which was a surprise, really wasn’t expecting it. We all ate and watched My Kitchen Rules then watched Revenge and ate jelly with custard (the custard was gross).

· Went to Jenny’s house for a going away party. We played Band Hero as usual and ate lots, Jennie brought her polaroid camera which was really big and we kept telling her not to waste the film on us but she wouldn’t listen, the photos were really good. I don’t know how it started but Jenny, Susan, Nug and I started air banding. Jenny on vocals, Nug on drums, Susan on bass and me on guitar. We played about four songs and oh my god it was so much fun! We got pretty tired though which made me respect band guys more, they must use so much energy playing shows. Thanh and Tom were there too but they just watched it, if you’ve never tried it, do it! It’s SO FUN!

· Yen came over and we watched tv and talked for a bit until Susan came. We then left to go to Piyumi’s house for dinner. It was great because almost everyone was there and we had Mexican food which is always great. We also exchanged our ‘Valentingles’ presents, I had Susan so I made her cupcakes. Vivian had me and she made me an adipose toy!!! (from Doctor Who)

How cute is it!

Sneha made Nayomi a boyfriend pillow which we all laughed at, it was really well made. Nayomi called it Klive Williams (i think, something to do with Kanye West)

We then gave Tess her going away present which was an engraved stethoscope

Piyumi, Naymi, Ayontika and Sneha took tequila shots; the rest of us did them with soft drink. Nayomi got a bit tipsy and kept making us laugh with the things she would say.

· That’s pretty much it, the last week of holidays I basically just stayed home and woke up late and did very little. I managed to watch a few movies and brought my total holidays movie count to 56 movies (it’s decent but I’ve done better).

Now it’s back to uni and dullness. Well except Soundwave!

Next Thursday is this sidewave

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

I REALLY want this poster but I haven’t seen it anywhere except at Nandos at Chadstone and I couldn’t ask them for it. Damn

I wasn’t originally planning on going to this sideshow, I mean I wanted to but money issues and all that but then once the Soundwave timetable went up I saw that Cobra Starship and A Rocket To The Moon were playing at the same time and I really want to see both of them so I had to go to one of their sideshows and ARTTM was cheaper.

Friday is Soundwave! I feel like there aren’t that many bands I REALLY want to see but it should be great!

This is the timetable, unless it’s been changed again

I’ve highlighted all the bands I want to see.
I know I’ve left out a few and I’m not going to end up seeing all of them but yeah. Marilyn Manson is highlighted because I can’t not take a look at him, I mean I would be so close and couldn’t miss seeing him. I say this now and I’ll probably miss him because of clashes and stuff. Bush is there because of Gavin Rossdale, I want to see him because he’s in one of my favourite movies. I haven’t properly looked and worked out my schedule yet, need to wait for the signing times but I know Cobra Starship isn’t signing, massive bummer! I hope I get to meet them somehow.

I wrote that two days ago and I don’t remember what I wrote but I will continue with this post

So yesterday when I got home from uni I saw that I had an e-mail from the Hi Fi

There was more but OMG right!

I got super excited but then Jenny had already bought two tickets for the show so the excitement was gone and I tried to get someone to buy the tickets but no such luck. I contacted the hi fi people and they said they don’t do refunds, they told me to give the free ticket to a friend and make them buy me a drink at the show (this could work if I actually knew people who like these bands) then I told them I couldn’t find anyone to give the tickets to so they said that’s alright and that I could just keep them and do whatever I want with them, also told me I could sell the tickets I bought but yes that hasn’t been successful. Damn what a waste of two free tickets, It’s annoying me because I still have to pay for the tickets and I know it’s only $40 but I’m so broke at the moment any money saving helps.

I entered another competition to win this prize pack but seeing that I won this it’s highly unlikely that I’ll win the next one, damn wish I could have won that instead.

Today I didn’t go to uni because I only had one lecture so I went to dandy and got my eyebrows done and the lady did a pretty bad job.

I realised I have nothing to wear tomorrow; I’ve run out of t-shirts. I wish they sold good t-shirts at the shops.

Also today Patrick Stump wrote this blog post

Here’s the link http://www.patrickstump.com/post/18474641989/we-liked-you-better-fat-confessions-of-a-pariah

I cried quite a bit reading it (I can’t believe how emotional I am, people never believe me when I say I am but everything sets me off)

I don’t really know what to say about the post except that I respect him so much for putting that out. He’s such a talented artist and has one of the most amazing voices I have ever heard; I support him and will continue to support him with whatever he does. Reading it not only made me upset but it also made me angry, people need to realise how hurtful the things they say/do are. Also all that hate they got for Folie A Deux, I don’t understand it at all because I think it’s an amazing album.
It must be so hard but I hope he gets through this and continues making music. I envy the people that have met him, hopefully one day I will too.

This Is The First Thing

Firstly CONGRATULATIONS Jenny and Sharline for getting into dent and vet. I’m so happy for them!

It’s been a while since I’ve blogged. I’ve been meaning to do a post about my Thailand holiday but I still haven’t gotten around to it so I thought I would write about what I’ve been doing since I got back from Thailand.

· Went to Ayanthi’s place and had a bbq. Susan was there so it was really good seeing her and catching up with everyone else

· Went to 1000 steps and got embarrassed as I realised how unfit I am

· Had a get together at Susan’s house where we just ate and went to the beach then ate some more. The water at the beach looked really gross to me after seeing the beaches in Thailand.

· Had our annual Australian Open Men’s finals viewing at my place. Sucks if you missed at that match because it was brilliant! Even though Nadal lost. Both players did so well and ah such a good match.

· Went to Parkmore to buy things to make a cake for my mum. Hung out with Sharline for a bit and got frozen yoghurt for $1 (it’s so good!). The cake turned out to be a disaster and no one has eaten it still, I don’t know why I haven’t thrown it out yet.

· Watched Sherlock Holmes: A Game Of Shadows and loved it. Had lunch at TGIF with Diem, Priyanka, Megha and Francois then hung out at MC for a while.

· I wanted to go to Nayomi’s garage sale but I had to stay home and clean. We then went out for lunch with my cousin then came back home. I played uno with my niece and kept winning all the games and she got upset so I felt bad and let her win

· Yen, Susan,Sharline, Nug and Jenny came over. I got told off by everyone because I made them watch Eden Lake haha, we then watched Bridge To Terabithia and looked at Jenny’s photos from her holiday.

I think that’s all the main (gosh I just spelt that as maine and had to change it) things I did.

Other things

· I read the Hunger Games trilogy and I loved it (like I needed something else to fangirl over). Aah gosh the books are brilliant and I highly recommend it if you haven’t read them yet.
I’m really excited about the movie but I HATE how people are comparing it to the Twilight series. Seriously if you read it then you know that they’re nothing alike and I feel like the media is chasing off some people by comparing the two series.
I’m really happy about the casting especially Josh Hutcherson as Peeta (this could be because I’m in love with the character and also because I’ve had a crush on Josh Hutcherson for a few years (I still feel like a pedo liking him) ) but I feel like he’s going to be perfect and so will everyone else. The only one I found a bit strange was casting Lenny Kravitz as Cinna, I imagined Cinna as a young Cillian Murphy but I have a feeling Lenny Kravitz will do a good job as Cinna.

· I finished Series 2 of Sherlock and aah oh gosh it’s brilliant! I can’t believe I’ll have to wait over a year for the next series.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

· I had my first driving lesson with an instructor and I was really nervous about it but it was fine and the guy is really nice.

· The Maine put out this video and I think it’s amazing

· I was watching Batman Begins on tv and was appreciating Cillian Murphy’s face.

I then decided to google him and I found out I’ve been pronouncing his name incorrectly for the past 5 or so years... I say ‘sillian’ but it’s ‘killian’

· They painted over the M wall in Arizona. Visiting that wall was on my bucket list and now I won’t get to see it.

'm going to watch Shame tomorrow

There was more I wanted to say but I can't think of anything now
