Mad Sounds

So we left off with the end of last year. I guess I’ll just do a dot point of what else I’ve been up to.

-          New Year’s Eve was spent at Piyumi’s house. She made so much nice food so there was lots of eating and talking and we went to Mordialloc beach to watch the fireworks.
-          Next day Sneha, Jenny, Susan, Sharline, Nug and I went to Springvale for lunch. Sneha left after lunch while the rest of us went back to my house and started watching a Korean Drama called Nine.
-          The rest of the holidays didn’t really feel like holidays. During the week I had work while weekends would generally be catering.
-          Went to Sharline’s house to continue Nine.
-          Paramore and You Me At Six concert which I will make another post about.
-          Saw Yen after about six months so that was good.
-          Went to Susan’s new house for a sleepover. Next day we went to the Bentleigh Sunday market where I ended up buying a couple of dresses and books and Supernatural season 6 which was only $5. What a bargain. We finished off watching Nine and I really wasn’t satisfied with the ending because things didn’t completely make sense.
-          Went to Nug’s house and we attempted to make Paella but it ended up being more of a risotto. Still tasted good though.
-          Piyumi had a bbq at her house
-          Had a sleepover at my place as a final holiday thing.
I think there might be some other things I have missed but I can’t seem to remember what else I did.

So this year, I’m taking a break from my course and I’m doing a pathology testing at RMIT. I guess I haven’t properly told anyone about it because I assume it’ll bring up questions like why I’m doing it and wouldn’t it just be better to finish my course first. Not many people have actually asked me these questions but still.

Basically I’m doing it because it sounds pretty cool. Also I REALLY REALLY needed to get away from my old course for a little while and just need a change. I was in a terrible rut and last year was terrible for me in all ways but education wise, it was a complete waste of a year because I ended up withdrawing from everything I did. I didn’t want that to happen again so I thought maybe this change of scene will do me some good. Crazily I’ve had three weeks of class already, how time flies. Things are going alright and I’ve made a few friends too so we’ll see how this goes.
I’ve gotten to see Thanh every week since I’ve started class so that’s been really great. I miss being able to see friends all the time.
I’m also still working, only two days a week but it’s better than nothing.
This past week was Soundwave week so I have to write about that soon!

Until then
