Iron Sky

My next post was supposed to be about concerts but I thought I post my ramblings now and then do that post later.

Hmm so it's been over a month since my last post and honestly not a whole lot has happened.

I went to another concert (which I will write about). It was Thirty Seconds To Mars and I went with Piyumi who was the first person I went to a concert with so that was pretty cool.

I watched Captain America with Diem. She doesn't know anything about the characters apart from the movies so her reactions were pretty funny, like when you first see The Winter Soldier's face, she actually gasped.

I love that there are so many superhero movies this year. We've had Cap 2, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 comes out today so I'm going to see it next week. This movie actually looks like a bit of a mess. In the trailers it looks like it has Electro, Green Goblin AND Rhino, I hope they remember what happened with Spider-Man 3 and don't ruin the movie by having too much going on. Despite the mess, I'm still looking forward to it because I quite like Andrew Garfield as Spider-Man and like that they kept his humorous side in the movie. I also like Emma Stone as Gwen, I just generally like Gwen as a character. Also it's Spider-Man so yes, I'm looking forward to it.

Then there is Days of Future Past. I sort of have mixed feelings about this movie. One one hand I'm a little worried it'll be messy and it's not exactly what I wanted for the sequel but on the other hand it's X-Men so I'll probably like it regardless. What I am REALLY happy about is that Charles seems to be a main focus in this movie which is AMAZING because I adore Charles. I'm not 100% happy with some of the things they've done to him in the movie but hey I haven't seen the movie and I'm not going to judge it without having seen it. Except Pietro aka Quicksilver of course. Have you seen what he looks like in the movie? It's actually horrendous and he looks nothing like the character at all

But yes I am actually DYING to see this movie because my Charles and Erik will be on screen together again and that's enough to make me happy. Getting ready for all the gay subtext.
The latest trailer was released yesterday and oh my god, there's a scene where Charles punches Erik and my god I haven't been this happy in a while. This is exactly what I wanted. I wanted Charles to be angry at Erik so this punch is just about the greatest thing.

I could just watch this scene on loop for ages

I am going to stop talking about the movie now otherwise I'll end up sharing all my views (Like how I will cut someone if they make Erik and Raven a romantic thing) on it and that could take a while.
Just going back to Pietro for a second, Avengers 2 started filming and that also has Pietro in it (I know weird right?). Aaron Taylor-Johnson plays him and he looks much better than the DOFP Pietro but I still think he looks bad. Also Wanda is in this movie, she also looks nothing like her character.

Then there is Guardians of the Galaxy in august. I don't know much about these characters, I've only seen them in an episode of the Avengers, but I like what I've seen so far in the trailers.

Have I raged about the new Fantastic Four cast yet? God you don't want me to get started on it but it is absolutely stupid. Apart from Michael B Jordan as Johnny Storm, the rest are terrrrrrrrrible. I was proper raging about this for a while. I don't know what they're thinking. I'm going to forget about this so I don't get angry.

Also I just heard that they're considering Channing Tatum for Gambit. What are these casting people on!? He looks nothing like Gambit and I can't imagine him as the character at all. I wish they would just bring back Taylor Kitsch, I quite liked him as Gambit.

Okay one last superhero thing. I considered getting an X-Men t-shirt but there aren't that many great designs. I thought about getting the one that James McAvoy wore to comic con last year
Should I get it?

Pavi threw a surprise party for Aish's birthday. I drove Priya and Varsha to the Enchanted Maze Garden in Arthur's Seat. We ate and went around the mazes then went tree surfing. I was nervous at the start because I'm not the best at these sort of activities, but after getting over the initial fear, it was fun. There were 5 levels and I was quite proud of us for getting through all 5.

We then went to their house for dinner and hung out with her friends who were all really nice and easy to talk to. We started a game of Cranium but had to leave before we could finish it.

The next day I had about three bruises on my arm which is pretty incredible because I have probably only bruised once or twice in my life before, it was painful.

Supanova was last weekend and I couldn't go which was a bummer because Freema Agyeman was there and I adore her. Something good came out of it though, I tweeted this and then this happened

Naturally I freaked out and SHE'S SO NICE OH MAN. It would be so cool if I got to meet her one day.

I've got to hang out with Thanh some more. It's funny because I tell my uni friends I'm hanging out with a friend after class and they go ooh someone's popular, always hanging with friends but it's it's literally always just Thanh. Just one friend.
We've eat at a different place every time we meet up, usually just walk around until we find a place. We went to the Botanic Gardens one day and it was my first time there! We also end up looking at lipstick every time I see her.

Went out to dinner with Viv, Nay, Piyumi, Sneha, Ayanthi and her Geelong house mate Dan. We had Korean BBQ, my second time having it and I liked it a lot more than the first time.

We went to Nitro Lab for ice cream after, then went to the Long Room. It's not a club but it's the closest thing I've experienced to a club and oh man I did not like it. It may have been the people, and the place wasn't even full, I just don't like crowded places that much though, I get a little panicky, it's different at concerts though. I don't seem to get like this at shows but in other places I do.
I'm sort of glad for the experience though because now I know for sure there's no way I would enjoy an actual club, I mean listening to music I don't enjoy, being in a loud, hot, sweaty place with lots of people and nothing to do but dance and drink...doesn't seem ideal to me. I knew this before of course but this sort of cemented it.

I'm going to the Gold Coast with my parents tomorrow. I really really don't feel like going at all because we're basically just going to be going to the amusement parks and beaches, which would be fun if I had someone to go on the rides with but no I'm just going to be stuck with my parents and our family friends who have an 11 year old kid so I am preparing myself for days of boredom.

One last thing. I only recently found out Paolo Nutini released an album. I was quite excited because it's been five years since his last album and I do quite like his music. I listened to the album and one song really stood out for me. I listened again, and again and it's just as amazing every time I listen to it. I can't describe the feeling, it just makes me feel all these different emotions. I want to scream about it and make everyone listen to it because I think it's so beautiful.

Here it is
